We are offering a FREE FUNdamental Introduction to Chess by Ted Carter.

A part of our newest exhibition My Two Blankets, Ted Carter and his team will be leading a FUNdamentals to Chess Workshop.

Chess is a different language! This is an opportunity to experience chess in a relaxing and informal setting. 

Participants will also be invited to embellish calico squares that will be sewn into a GIANT blanket we are making for the Toowoomba Region.

My Two Blankets is an extraordinary children's book written right here in Toowoomba! Written in a gentle yet impactful way to explore complex themes like belonging, identity and resilience with young readers, it provides an opportunity for reflection on the experiences of those who are displaced and reminds us of the importance of empathy and human connection. 

My Two Blankets reflects a universal experience of migration and belonging, making it a vital tool for fostering empathy and understanding.

Designed for primary school aged children, this is a perfect activity for the school holidays 😊
