Preparing your manuscript

for submission

with Dr Tara East

In this two-hour workshop, we will cover how to prepare a fiction manuscript for submission to an editor, agent, or publisher.

You only get one chance to make a good impression when presenting your novel to an industry professional, and you want to ensure that you are delivering the very best version of your story possible.

We want to dazzle early readers with our storytelling prowess, not have them get distracted by clumsy plot points, contradictory characters, or a patchy voice.

Attendees in this workshop will learn:

  • How to assess the overall quality of their manuscript

  • New ways to think about plot and character development

  • Strategies for improving story telling elements, such as voice, theme, point of view, and more

  • Insider tools and tricks to identify and correct inconsistencies and flaws within a narrative
