Meet Lara Cain Gray
Dr Lara Cain Gray is an author, librarian and storytelling advocate based in Meanjin, Brisbane. She is Head of Publishing at nonprofit education publisher Library For All, where she has spent nearly nine years creating multilingual books for children in communities with limited access to traditional libraries. Lara holds a PhD in Australian Literature and Culture Studies and has worked across research, teaching, librarianship and curation. An experienced children’s literature reviewer and advocate, she is also a CBCA Book of the Year Awards judge in the Eve Pownall category and co-author of The Grown-Up’s Guide to Picture Books.
A Night In... is part of our La De Da (Garden!) Rooms with artists Lee FullARTon and Megan Gaynor and draws inspiration from The Gardens of Alkinoos. The Write Gallery is open every day during The Carnival of Flowers.
