Queensland Writers Centre | Writers Room

Writing Friday is a free, volunteer-led program for Queensland writers at all levels. It connects writers in their local communities and provides a space — usually a library or community centre — where Queenslanders can cultivate their habit of writing, following the Pomodoro technique. 

The Lighthouse Toowoomba hosts Write Friday at 126 Margaret Street, Toowoomba, upstairs in our writers room. 

Date: Starts Friday 31 January 2026 and runs every Friday (open school terms ONLY) 

Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm

FREE (gold coin donation is deeply appreciated!)
