In collaboration with Queensland Writers Centre, Writing Friday @The Lighthouse Toowoomba is a volunteer-led program for writers at all levels.
Come write and meet writers in your local community.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of genre and skill.
We understand that life can get in the way of writing. That is why we have Writing Monday, a chance for you to get those words down on the page. This is a space that will nurture your craft and encourage a routine you can stick to.
Queensland Writers Centre's successful Writing Friday program uses the Pomodoro Technique of 25-minute blocks of writing, followed by 5-minute blocks (4 sessions of 25-minutes with a 5-minute break between each). The method trains the mind to effectively reach smaller targets, improving your overall writing time and productivity.
The Toowoomba group is led by the wonderful Brett Coster and occurs every MONDAY during term time from 9am-2:30pm. At The Lighthouse Toowoomba. We ask for a gold coin donation each time to help keep the power on :)
